Martijn J. Kramp is a costume designer and bespoke tailor whose work beautifully blends aesthetics and craftsmanship.

 

Kickstarting his design journey at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam, he discovered his love for storytelling through costume design.

For over a decade, Martijn perfected his skills at the Costume Department of the National Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam, aiming for nothing but the best. During this period, he collaborated with a diverse array of costume and set designers, honing his craft and gaining invaluable experience.

Under his own label, Martinus Johannes, he has become a go-to designer in the world of opera, collaborating on remarkable projects with prestigious institutions like Nederlandse Reisopera, Holland Opera, Silbersee, National Opera & Ballet, Opera Zuid, and OpusOne Musicals.

Martijn's talents even led him to the renowned Cinecittà Studios in Rome, where he ventured into the world of cinema. His passion and dedication continue to shine, making waves in both stage and screen.
